Lionel Messi, Andres Iniesta, Xavi Hernandez, Gerard Pique and Sergio Busquets, all of whom emerged from the FC Barcelona’s youth football system, have been nominated for the 2012 FIFA Ballon d’Or.
he list of 23 players nominated for the FIFA Ballon d’Or include five FC Barcelona players: Messi, Iniesta, Xavi,Piqué and Busquets. All of them learned their trade in Barça’s famed La Masia. Thanks to their effort and talent, these five player are recognised as some of the best footballers on the planet.
